A sea of people cheering as states one by one announce the results of the election in New York’s Time’s Square.

I hope all of you had a wonderful thanksgiving. Maybe you can make a collage like this one with your family and share it here

I sat and watched this guy look in for nearly 20 minutes. He wasn’t listening to his iPod or anything. He just stood there. Eyes never wavered from the scene. Then, he turned and walked off. Watching this guy look and stare and seem to concentrate in an area that had people talking and flashing [...]

Fire truck displaying our nation’s colours (I prefer to spell it like a Brit) on their firetruck.

Just love this store and how it looks with the glass and the surrounding buildings. For this I used my 10-20mm Sigma lens to display the awesomeness.

Graffiti’d in Time’s Square before the election. Just a few days later I stood in this very spot to watch Barack Obama elected as President of the United States.

What Hawaii is famous for. Tip: Rows of people or objects often look awesome with a nice Depth of Field but don’t overkill on the brokeh. Looking back I should have eased up a bit. Regardless this photo is rockin’.

I’m sure this spot has been photographed a billion times but I get to be a tourist too once in a while too ok?! Tip: I captured the motion of the people by using a slower shutter speed. It’s good to have them blurred a little to give the feeling of motion and hustle. Now, [...]

Took this photo just off the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. A reminder to those fallen Americans that died in the terrible attacks on our nation.

Ahi is my favorite meat. The only way to eat it is raw. Whether it’s in a Spicy Tuna bowl or seared.

Being a people watcher I loved riding the subways. Looking at people and trying to detemine their stories. Examining their hands, their build, trying to determine what kind of jobs they have. I sit and analyze behavior, clothing, what stops they get off on. People fascinate me. This man sat across from me and had [...]

Took this photo at the ferry station to go to Staten Island. Tip: To gain this effect reduce your shutter speed and zoom the lens while taking the photo. It may take you several tries to get it looking just right.

I first met Aaron Yoshino at Podcamp Hawaii and we actually ended up speaking on a panel together about blogging and what it means. He’s a great guy and I’m glad to have met him. In fact, he helped me put this blog together. Check out his work at Honozooloo.com

Another thing that always catches my eye is graffiti and stickers. I love them! They tend to only pop up in urban areas. I spent the last two days in New York just taking pictures of graffiti and stickers.

Dina Kaplan is the co-founder of Blip.tv and is a rad person altogether. We met at Podcamp Hawaii and she hired me to come to New York and take photos at the New York Founders Club. She’s a really cool person. I’m going to start doing this with the founders of companies, or maybe just [...]

Neon flag on the side of the rectruitment office dead center of Time’s Square in New York.

This is the temporary business card design i made quickly for Podcamp Hawaii. I like it, but still not sold.

I just love signs, not sure why… Especially the signs in New York. The font just really appeals to me. Also, the old tile that is moldy and barely visible. You can see it in the brokeh, the old 42nd street sign. Wonder how old it is.
